Grand Central - 42 Street Station Reproduction Sign
With more platforms than any other train station, Grand Central Station is often considered the largest train station in the world. One architectural peculiarity of this iconic station is the ceiling of the main terminal. Its backward representation of the night sky makes the constellations appear out of order. This was done on purpose by artist Giovanni Smeraldi, and is based on a medieval manuscript that visualized the sky as it would look to God from outside the celestial sphere.
Made with pride in Brooklyn, this replica Grand Central Station sign combines authentic materials - durable aluminum, vinyl lettering and transparent laminate - with the exacting design standards used by the MTA and MBTA.
