Authentic IRT Low-V NYC Subway Number Plates

$74.99

These antique Authentic IRT Low-V New York City Subway Number Plates come from one of the oldest classes of locomotives in history. The IRT Low-V was an elevated train that was a part of New York City's first mass transit system. Built during the Roaring 1920s, this Jazz Age classic would have been one of the same trains that Nick Carraway rode in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. This authentic ode to metropolitan twilight is sure to unleash your inner flapper.

These historical New York subway number plates are in good condition with some minor rusting that adds character. We carry a very limited quantity- and only one of each number! They are an Erie Drive Exclusive, and will allow you to adorn your walls with a piece of New York's rich history.

A note from Erie Drive's Creative Director and Buyer, Alexandra Grenham:

"These Subway Number Plates have such a great texture and I love that they really are worn from being on trolleys/trains. I just think the combination of the white numbers on the black looks so cool - and I love the font. Things just don't look like this anymore."
