Design House Stockholm Block Lamp in Black or Red

$139.99

This Block Lamp from internationally acclaimed designer Harri Koskinen for Design House Stockholm was an instant classic upon its arrival in 1996. The lamp's design, a warm light bulb encased in ice, is a play on the structuralist concept of binary opposition - one term is necessary to define the other, in this case hot and cold, dark and light. This work of art will illuminate more than your room.

The Block Lamp has been showered with design awards, including the Excellent Swedish Design award in 1998 and the Design Plus Award at the Ambiente Trade Fair in Frankfurt. The Block Lamp became part of MoMA's permanent collection in 2000. Harri also received the Torsten and Wanja Soderberg Prize, Scandinavia's most prominent design award.

Each Block Lamp is packaged in a black gift box. One bulb is included. Lamp cord is available in your choice of Black or Red.
